Me and my personal style got mentioned on this marvelous blog Cherchez Le Style. Check it out!

On the pic above it's me attending the "DEPESHA: Breaking the Stereotypes" event held by Stephan Rabimov, editor-in-chief of DEPESHA magazine. I am holding a brand new, spectacular, beyond inspiring, ultimate must-have anniversary 305-page double issue of DEPESHA that features my illustrations

DAPHNE GUINNESS opening reception at the Fashion Institute of Technology
Dear Guys and Girls,
September turns out to be one unforgettable month...
After presenting my own collection during New York Fashion Week, on September 9th, six days later, in a company of my friend and agent, Depesha editor-in-chief Stephan Rabimov, I attended Daphne Guinness exhibition opening at the Museum at F.I.T.

Immediately upon our arrival I was photographed by the legendary Bill Cunningham; the photo appeared in the following September 18th issue of Sunday New Your Times in the article titled "Head Turners" and if there is the best spot to be in the Times, it is exactly where I ended up - right next to Valentino, De la Renta, and Daphne herself :
Seeing Daphne again was, obviously, a pleasure of cosmic proportions, but what was truly mind-blowing, it is looking at her breathtaking collection of unique pieces all in one place. A must-see exhibit featured timeless masterpieces by Gareth Pug, Chanel, Dior, Valentino, McQueen, and Guinness's own designs among other treasures.
Leonid Gurevich with the incredible Dr. Valerie Steele, director and a chief curator of the Museum at F.I.T. and a co-curator of Daphne Guinness exhibition.
I invite you to join me at the private tour of Daphne Guinness exhibit on October 6th, 2011, (7 PM) when the museum is closed to the general public, guided by Dr. Valerie Steele, followed by a cocktail reception at a neighboring chic CATM gallery (8 PM). Get the tickets here. Limited amount of tickets available.
Will see you there,
Leon

LEONID GUREVICH Fashion Show @ DUO
I just showed my SS 2012 dress collection titled " Triumvirate of Seduction" during New York Fashion Week on September 11th, 2011 at the amazing DUO - the sophisticated, beautifully decorated, recently opened restaurant / lounge owned by two gorgeous sisters.
Historically and politically 'Triumvirate' meant a group of three men holding power. Translating this concept into my world of couture, I singled out three powerful seduction elements that I design for, around, and always in mind with - Bust, Waist, and Hips - thus creating "Triumvirate of Seduction" as a perfect name for a collection purely consisting of alluring, feminine pieces.
My celebrity guests for the night were the divine Sasha Gradiva, who looked more breathtaking than ever, rapper Slick the Misfit, DJ Vinyla, actress Jessica Sherr and singer Xavier Le Pop Star.
Hand-picked, stunning models were slowly moving around the dimly lit rooms decorated with crystal chandeliers, soft leather banquettes and twenty foot murals depicting the sister duo owners, to the sound of a spine-tingling tango by Gotan Project...

Those of you who couldn't make it that night, get a second - and last - chance, as I will be showing my "Triumvirate of Seduction" again at the Museum of Russian Art (MoRA) on October 1st, 2011.

LEONID GUREVICH for ANYA CALIENDO
Dear Guys & Girls,How would you laconically describe in two words such ethereal concepts as Chic, Elegance, Luxury, Enthrallment, Decadence - and everything they represent and stand for?
"Anya Caliendo". That's how.
Try imagining the level of my exhilaration when I was approached to create series of exclusive illustrations for Anya Caliendo Couture Millinery Atelier.
Being a woman of stunning beauty herself, Anya Caliendo creates sublime millinery masterpieces - delicate wearable art of exquisite workmanship. Every single headpiece is a pure enchantment, entirely different from the next. Her hats are marvelous fairytale dreams wondrously brought into a reality.
One of the main reasons why I enjoy being Leonid Gurevich so much is that being an artist grants me the priceless opportunity to interact with some of the most gifted, unique personages, exposing me to their exclusive visions and magic skills.
These gems below are from Mrs. Caliendo's "The Secret Lives of Dolls" collection.

DRESSING SASHA GRADIVA
Guys,
The past two months were absolutely incredible for me - I've been swimming in the ocean of inspiration, enjoying every second of it:
Sasha Gradiva is one of the most influential and respected European female artists of contemporary pop music with successful solo albums, MTV hit documentary and sold-out arenas.

Being the best European export, Sasha Gradiva is a perfect addition to the multitude of Gods on the American music Olympus, creating waves on both U.S. coasts with her innovative, futuristic, electro-flavored sound, and ultra-energized choreography.
For starters, I have created a translucent shutter screen ensemble to compliment her new bionic look:
She wore it performing her brand new mega hit "I'm on Fire" in Griffin and again later in Gansevoort Park Hotel. See the compilation video of her exhilarating summer 2011 tour here.
I have also styled her for her upcoming official video for "I'm on Fire" shot by the uber talented Mikhail Torich:
I am currently working on few more sick pieces for her.
Gradiva's new album is due for a release this Fall, so stay tuned for the updates and get ready to be completely blown away.
Cheers,
Leon

Guys,What a surreal, marvelous, magical and truly unforgettable Tuesday that was! I was introduced to the incredible Daphne Guinness by Stephan Rabimov, the editor of DEPESHA magazine, who interviewed her. I presented Daphne with a demi-couture piece I have made exclusively for her commissioned by DEPESHA as a parting gift. This was a magical moment of meeting a True Legend. I will never forget that.
